I know I’m a little behind on writing this blog, with it being the middle of January and all….. but I couldn’t miss out on sharing the beautiful colour that has been chosen by Pantone as 2018’s ‘Colour Of The Year’!  Those of you familiar with Little T’s Haberdashery and our branding may already know that I’m a big purple fan, so this years colour of ‘Ultra Violet’ was a big hit with me!  I love how versatile the shade is, I’m personally a big fan of purples and mint greens or greys.

For anyone that hasn’t heard of Pantone or the ‘Colour Of The Year’ before, Pantone is the world-renowned authority on colour and the PANTONE® name is known worldwide as the standard language for colour communication from designer to manufacturer to retailer to customer. Basically, they are THE people to listen to when it comes to colours! They know their stuff!  Each year they chose a colour that they believe reflects the year ahead, in their words; “As individuals around the world become more fascinated with colour and realize its ability to convey deep messages and meanings, designers and brands should feel empowered to use colour to inspire and influence. The Colour of the Year is one moment in time that provides strategic direction for the world of trend and design, reflecting the Pantone Colour Institute’s year-round work doing the same for designers and brands.”

The use of purple-toned lighting in meditation spaces and other gathering places energizes the communities that gather there and inspire connection.”
