Another year, another Colour! This year’s colour spotlight has been stolen by ‘Living Coral 16-1546’. A surprise to many, this bold and bright shade seems to emulate summer and warmth. Personally, I don’t love it as much as I did 2018’s Ultra Violet, however I have found that lots of people in the Sewing community do! They love it paired with Rose Gold, they love it paired with Navy. I’ve checked out some of the colour palettes suggested by Pantone (which you can see below) and I could actually see myself incorporating some of them into my Spring/Summer Sewing plans. 

For anyone that hasn’t heard of Pantone of the ‘Colour of the Year’ before, Pantone is the world-renowned authority on colour and the PANTONE® name is known worldwide as the standard language for colour communication from designer to manufacturer to retailer to customer. Basically, they are THE people to listen to when it comes to colours! They know their stuff! Each year they chose a colour that they believe reflects the year ahead.
