Have you heard of Small Business Saturday? For those that haven’t, Small Business Saturday UK is a grassroots, non-commercial campaign, which highlights small business success and encourages consumers to ‘shop local’ and support small businesses in their communities.

The day itself takes place on the first Saturday in December each year, but the campaign aims to have a lasting impact on small businesses. This year, Small Business Saturday is on Saturday, December 2nd.

This year, Small Business Saturday’s 5th year, Little T’s Haberdashery is showing it’s support and celebrating by offering some great discounts which are also well timed for the upcoming festive season!

Little T’s Haberdashery began in March 2016. I decided to open a Haberdashery store after finding that it was often difficult, time consuming and expensive to source the correct tools and equipment I needed to produce items for my lovely customers to my previous sewing business. I was aware that lots of other small business owners also experienced the same frustration.

The aim of Little T’s Haberdashery is to offer a wide selection of reasonably priced, and good quality, sewing and crafting tools and accessories.

I also want to make sewing and creating more accessible to others. I know how daunting it can be to start learning to sew or reading dressmaking patterns for the first time – it all feels like a foreign language!

20 months later and the business is growing from strength to strength and I am so grateful for the support I have received from my customers. I can’t wait for 2018 and the new opportunities for growth it will bring for my small business.
